Thomas Wally is currently working on a new quintet for the Belgian Ensemble Fractales. The world premiere is scheduled for June 2027 at the MIM (Musical Instruments Museum) in Brussels.
Further world premieres in 2027 include: a new work for two flutes for Yuri Matsuzaki and Shino Saito (world premiere on January, 26th 2027 at the Tokyo Opera City Recital Hall); a new solo saxophone piece for Severin Neubauer (world premiere on February 10th 2027 at the Impuls Festival in Graz); a new work for the Swiss trio Sæitenwind (world premiere planned for autumn 2027) and Cinque movimenti e quattro intermezzi, Thomas Wally’s second string trio, for the Swiss Mondrian Ensemble (world premiere planned for the 27/28 season).
A new work for clarinet is being commissioned for the project launched by Matrix New Music Leuven and Dries Tack to expand the repertoire of contemporary music for young performers.
